I inferred from my friends on another board that I could pay for my racing here.
I am a long time SCCA member, and have been racing and autocrossing since 1980, usually in small bore sports cars and sedans (RX7's, CRX, Civic, Neon, Sentra, etc.). I have also had the distinct pleasure of running a Formula 440 (now 500) and C-Prepared Mustang.
Some points of interest:
- Started autocrossing in 1980 in a Fiat X-1/9
- Have run about 15 or so SCCA Solo Nationals so far.
- Did the SCCA Runoffs at Road Atlanta in 1993 and Mid Ohio in 1994. My wife did the Runoffs at Mid Ohio in 1995.
- Looking forward to road racing again once my kids are out of college!
- Currently autocrossing a 1989 Civic Si in ST, either the white car (mine) or my pal Travis' car, the reddish car. Travis and I co-drive regularly.
- Raced karts for a couple years until I flipped one and decided it was a bad idea for a family man
- My wife is really the 'shoe in the family
- Have a fondness for RX7's and have owned 8 so far. Currently have a nice 1988.
- Also strangely attracted to Neon ACR's. Sort of view them like the cute but trashy girl from high school.
